There’s a reason why he always refers to where he went to college and, you know, that, ‘I’m a smart person.’ You know, it may be narcissism. But I think it really reflects an insecurity.
If we live in a perpetual state of outrage, Trump wins. Because when we become depleted and exhausted and sapped of our energy, we’re not as resourceful, creative, or effective.

If Clinton is elected or if Trump is going to get elected, I think the polarization in Congress will be greater than ever. Nothing is going to get done. It is going to be so ugly, so partisan, so back-biting. Well what if you elect a couple of Libertarians?
I think one of the things about Donald Trump that’s interesting is he lives in a rarified atmosphere where it’s possible that he doesn’t get enough feedback, enough people rolling their eyes at him. It’s a danger more in show business than it is with wealth.

Mr. Trump is unifying the party, and I applaud him for that.
Trump has never sacrificed anything for this country, and in fact, he has attacked people who have. Nobody could like Donald Trump, surely, except his mother. No one really likes The Donald. But how can you not have respect for a guy who’s been down on the floor and just keeps coming back? I’m a great admirer of the Trump change of mind about China and making an ally out of China instead of screaming about their trade.
I think the thing that you’ve seen with Donald Trump is that he doesn’t – he doesn’t look to the past and say, ‘I’ve got to conform to these precedents.’
Paul Ryan and Mr. Trump have had a conversation, and they continue to develop that relationship. They had a great meeting in Washington, D.C., where they talk about what was important to both of them. They agree on many issues.
Omarosa is a distraction. She’s always been a distraction. She’s never been a positive influence on anything to do with Donald Trump.
When the now-infamous Donald Trump-Billy Bush audio feed was released, my confidence in Trump all but evaporated.
We see – every week or two, we see another story of a small business that went out of business because Donald Trump.
Donald Trump can take his message directly to the people via rallies and addresses carried over social media. I’d call them updated versions of Roosevelt’s fireside chats, but a portion of my younger readership doesn’t even know what a radio is thanks to a Democrat-run education system.
Like all Canadians, I was deeply frustrated by the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump to impose tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum. Conservatives are the party of free trade, and numerous Conservative MPs, including our leader Andrew Scheer, have travelled to the United States to help make the case for Canada.
While Donald Trump believes in huge tax breaks for billionaires, he believes that states should actually have the right to lower the minimum wage below $7.25. What an outrage!
I’ve known Hillary Clinton for a long time. She’s trustworthy. She’s ready from Day One to assume the office of presidency in the United States. She’s qualified and she’s ready as compared to, I think, Donald Trump, who has shown his recklessness, and dangerous statements that he’s made.
Trump, of course, has been very wrong in the past about important issues such as President Barack Obama’s place of birth and Mexican immigrants, but the Republican frontrunner is correct in saying that former Republican President George W. Bush did not keep the country safe during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
‘White supremacist’ and ‘white nationalist’ aren’t like ‘meanypants’ – you can’t just attach them to people you don’t like without any thought to the consequences. The progressive Left has done it to ordinary Americans for decades. The result? President Trump.
One of the things I expect Mr. Trump would look for in a vice president is discretion.
Michael T. Flynn
Donald Trump is about the rise of right-wing extremism, not only in this country, but in Europe.
I think that liberalism and the centrist governing elite of this country need to learn lessons from the Trump phenomenon. It is part of the way that the country is governed and the country is shaped that induces spasms of populism, including spasms of bigoted populism.
Trump’s characterization of undocumented immigrants is, of course, absurd. Not only do the facts, well, trump his assertions, but his prejudiced views demonstrate a deep ignorance about Mexican immigrants in the United States.
I say never trust a man who combs his hair so as to cover his shiny dome and then flaunts a wife young enough to be his daughter. Oh, Trump has issues all right.
Trump is very plugged in. He’s very connected.
I don’t believe that Donald Trump is a racist, per se. But some of the things that he does, some of the rhetoric that he uses, attracts racists and that sets the tone. And of course, you are judged by the company you keep.
If the party of Lincoln wishes to become the party of intolerance, selecting Trump to be its presidential candidate is a good way forward.
Trump has a pro-economic-growth tax plan, and we are sensitive to the cost of that plan.
We have got to defeat Donald Trump, and we have got to elect Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine.
For anyone who has ever asked why the U.S. needs to address the issue of reparations for its history of slavery, Donald Trump is why. He is the living embodiment of America’s unresolved issues.
Championing liberty begins at the local level. There is nothing more fundamental than the principle that a man’s home is his castle. Donald Trump’s career-long willingness to trample this right tells you everything you need to know about his bogus tea party sideshow.
This must be such a relief for the TV executives managing a business in decline, suffering from a thousand cuts from social media and other new platforms. Trump arrived on the scene as a kind of manna from hell.
Donald Trump has had several foreign wives. It turns out that there really are jobs Americans won’t do.
I’m not going to vote for Donald Trump. There’s no way I would vote for him under any circumstance. However, I think that the protesters may as well send him some money, because I think they’re going to push people into his camp.
They set a low bar for Donald Trump, and he banged his head on it.
I told Donald Trump, ‘This isn’t a campaign, this is a movement.’ Look at what’s happening. The American people are not happy with their government.
Coming to terms with Donald Trump as the Republican nominee is like being told you have Stage 1 or Stage 2 cancer. You know you’ll probably survive, but one way or the other, there’s going to be a lot of throwing up.
Democrats want to peer into every second of President Trump’s life, hoping to find a smoking gun.
I think more airtime should be given to Donald Trump and Orly Taitz. They should run for office together. They should open for Charlie Sheen.
